1. A Snagless Swimbait with No Exposed Hook

The STEALTH Swimmer features IMAKATSU’s patented Stealth Hook System, a revolutionary design that keeps the hook completely concealed inside the body for exceptional snag resistance.

With no exposed hook and the line tie positioned at the very front of the bait, the STEALTH Swimmer slips cleanly through brush, weeds, and other cover. It allows you to confidently fish places where conventional swimbaits are difficult—or simply impossible—to get through, including shaded overhangs on bright days, complex cover, floating debris, and flooded vegetation.

About Stealth Hook System (PAT):
The hook is held securely inside the body by a magnet. When a bass bites, the hollow body compresses, instantly exposing the oversized hook through the slot along the back for a solid hookset.

2. Extremely Realistic Baitfish Appearance

The concealed Stealth Hook System already gives bass one less reason to hesitate, but the realism of the STEALTH Swimmer goes much further than its hidden hook.

The 3DR Color Series uses highly realistic transfer-printed finishes that closely replicate the appearance of real baitfish, helping trigger committed bites even from bass that follow the bait closely before striking.

The Real Color Series, meanwhile, uses IMAKATSU’s specially developed reflective finishes. Under direct sunlight, the body flashes naturally like a live baitfish. When backlit, portions of the body become translucent, giving the lure a subtle, natural appearance that blends into the surrounding water.

3. Exceptional Versatility from the Surface to the Bottom

The STEALTH Swimmer is not just a cover-oriented swimbait. One of its biggest strengths is its versatility.

By changing between Stealth Hooks with different weights, you can fish the same bait effectively throughout a wide range of depths, from just below the surface all the way down to deep water.

As of 2026, two Stealth Hook weights come standard with the STEALTH Swimmer.

5. Choosing the Right IMAKATSU Swimbait for the Situation

IMAKATSU offers several swimbaits designed for different situations, including the highly versatile STEALTH Swimmer, the ultra-slow-retrieve Lazy Swimmer, and the deep-water-oriented Bacurato Swimmer.

Among them, the STEALTH Swimmer is the most versatile all-around option. Its weedless design lets you fish aggressively around cover from the surface through the mid-depth range, while its balanced swimming action works across a wide variety of retrieve speeds and conditions.

That makes it an excellent choice when you are not yet sure what the fish are doing, or when you are fishing a new body of water for the first time.

The Lazy Swimmer becomes the better choice when bass are less willing to chase, such as during cold-water periods including the prespawn, or whenever fish are heavily pressured and closely inspecting the bait. Its ability to swim extremely slowly while maintaining a natural horizontal posture closely imitates an easy-moving baitfish and can tempt bass that refuse more aggressive presentations.

For deep-water fishing during the coldest periods of the year, the Bacurato Swimmer is another strong option.

By rigging the STEALTH Swimmer with the optional Full Tungsten Magnum Heavy 3/4 oz or Extra Heavy 1/2 oz Stealth Hook, you can reach many of the same deep-water zones where the Bacurato Swimmer excels, while producing a more subtle swimming action and less water displacement.

However, when the goal is to deliberately make contact with hard cover—such as rock, hard bottom, or standing timber—to trigger reaction bites, the Bacurato Swimmer is generally the better tool for the job.
