Continuously moving giant furry mysterious object

1. A Giant, Hairy Mystery Bait That Never Stops Moving

The Kujala is a massive, hairy soft bait made from a specially developed elastomer material. Its body is covered in thick, long, hair-like strands that come alive the moment they hit the water. With countless strands constantly moving and swaying, the Kujala creates an incredibly lifelike action that looks like some kind of mysterious creature bass have never seen before.

Its oversized, bizarre silhouette doesn't resemble any familiar prey. But that's exactly what makes it so intriguing. Bass don't always strike just to feed. Sometimes, curiosity alone is enough to trigger a bite, and the Kujala delivers a first impression that's impossible to ignore.

2.Soft Kujala vs. Stiff Kata Kujala – Choose the Right One for the Situation

The original Kujala features a super-soft, highly flexible elastomer material. Its countless strands move freely and subtly underwater, creating a uniquely lifelike action. It's particularly effective when targeting bass that are wary of aggressive vibrations or when you want a more natural presentation for sight fishing.

The Kata Kujala, on the other hand, is a high-appeal version made with an ultra-stiff elastomer material. Its firm, resilient strands push significantly more water, creating a powerful presence that can get the attention of bass from a distance. It really shines on clear-water reservoirs, when targeting suspended bass, or when trying to draw fish out of cover such as standing timber and concrete structures.

In fact, during testing by C.E.O. of Imakatsu: K.Imae, the Kata Kujala proved extremely effective on clear lakes and reservoirs, while the original Kujala produced better results on Lake Kasumigaura where the water is muddy. This shows that stiffer isn't always better. Choosing the right version based on how the bass are reacting can make all the difference.

Go with the original Kujala when you want a softer, more natural action to coax reluctant bass into biting. Switch to the Kata Kujala when you need stronger water displacement to grab their attention. Having both options gives you more ways to approach different fishing situations.

3. Insane Action from Topwater to Bottom – One Bait, Endless Possibilities

Whether you're shaking, swimming, or jerking it, the Kujala series produces incredibly lifelike movement. Thanks to its highly buoyant elastomer material, you can let it float on the surface, swim it through the middle of the water column, or add weight to work it slowly along the bottom. With the right rig and presentation, it can handle an impressive range of fishing situations.

The Kata Kujala is especially effective for mid-column swimming and pendulum-fall presentations, where its stiff strands create powerful water displacement. You can also feel more resistance through your rod compared to the original Kujala, giving you better feedback and control. These characteristics make it an excellent option for targeting suspended bass with forward-facing sonar (FFS).

4. Cut It Up and Keep Catching Fish – Multiple Baits in One!

The Kujala series isn't limited to fishing the full-size bait. You can cut the body in half or into quarters and still get excellent results. Attach a section to a jighead, lightly hook it with a finesse hook, or experiment with your own custom rigging ideas. Nearly every part of the bait can be put to good use.

One particularly effective setup is the Kata Kujala cut into quarters. When water hits the flat, freshly cut surface, it creates turbulence that causes the stiff strands to vibrate and flutter in a unique way. These quarter-size sections have already proven themselves in tournament fishing, including vertical shaking and pendulum-fall presentations, as well as mid-column swimming with a football jighead.

You're not just making the bait smaller. Cutting it actually creates an entirely different action, opening up even more possibilities. That's one of the coolest things about the Kujala series.

5. Built to Last – Better Durability and Value Than You Might Expect

Thanks to their specially developed elastomer materials, the Kujala series offers excellent durability, allowing you to fish the same bait repeatedly.

The original Kujala uses a super-soft elastomer that resists taking a permanent set, even though the material is extremely flexible. Its strands are less likely to become permanently bent or deformed during storage. The Kata Kujala takes durability even further with its tougher, stiffer elastomer material, making it exceptionally long-lasting.

Sure, these baits cost more than your average soft plastics. But consider this: you can cut a single bait into as many as four usable sections, and each section can be fished over and over again. Add in the versatility of being able to create multiple rigging setups from just one bait, and the value starts to make a lot more sense.

Storage Note: Like other elastomer baits, the Kujala series should not be stored in direct contact with conventional soft plastics or other incompatible lure materials. Prolonged contact can cause deformation or melting. Keep them separated from other baits and avoid storing them in high temperatures.
