Most lipless-crankbaits can draw fish while they are moving, but once you kill them, they simply drop and the presentation becomes much more one-dimensional. ZARI VIB is different. But he did not simply copy its shape or construction. The Buzzer Beater is front-heavy, while ZARI VIB is center-balanced, and the weight placement and overall action are clearly different. One of the most important design elements is the complex shaping around the front half of the body. That design grabs water hard and stirs it aggressively, creating the lure’s characteristically heavy retrieve feel.

According to Murakami, he cannot fully explain why, but vibration baits with that kind of heavy pull seem to produce a surprising number of big bass.
