A Finesse Creature Bait Designed by a Master of Multi-Segment Craw Imitations
1. Complex Multi-Segment Action That Consistently Triggers Bites

Haruhiko Murakami, the creator of the Neko Rig and one of the pioneers of finesse bass fishing in Japan, has long been known for his ability to recreate the subtle life of shrimp, crawfish, and aquatic insects in soft-plastics. Since his days with Tsunekichi to the founding of issei, he has produced numerous proven fish-catching lures based on this philosophy.

The bibibi Bug stands as one of the signature baits Murakami designed when launching issei—a multi-segment creature bait built to get bites even under heavy fishing pressure. Its intentionally ambiguous silhouette, somewhere between an insect and a small crustacean, blends naturally into the underwater environment and triggers a bass’s feeding instinct without raising suspicion.
2. Micro Vibrations That Create Subtle, Natural Life
The defining feature of the bibibi Bug is its body structure, packed with segmented ribs and appendages of varying lengths, thicknesses, and angles. Each part moves independently, creating subtle vibrations and lifelike movement.

During the fall or while sitting still, the legs and antennae continue to catch water and quiver, mimicking a struggling small craw or aquatic insect. Instead of overwhelming fish with aggressive action, the bait produces just enough subtle life to make bass commit—this restrained realism is the true strength of the bibibi series.
3. Residual Action That Gets Bit After You Stop Moving It
Building on Murakami’s earlier trailer: HANHAN trailer designs, the bibibi Bug features a thicker mid-body that increases water resistance. Even after you stop working the bait, the legs and antennae continue to move softly, creating what Murakami calls a lingering or “residual” action.
This lingering movement is why bites often come right after a shake, during a pause, or immediately after the bait hits bottom—exactly when the bait appears most vulnerable.
4. When You Need More Water Push, Choose Power bibibi Bug
Roughly ten years after the original release, the Power bibibi Bug was developed to meet modern fishing conditions, especially situations where stronger attraction and longer casting are required.

This version features a shorter, thicker body compared to the original model, creating a compact yet high-impact profile. Portions of the antennae have been significantly thickened, generating stronger water displacement and extended residual movement after each action. Despite its compact size, it carries enough presence to draw fish from a distance in large lakes and reservoirs.

Its design pairs thick, weighty antennae with extremely narrow joint sections, allowing the entire body to undulate during movement, followed by powerful secondary movement from the antennae themselves. This two-stage water displacement continues even when simply dragging the bait along the bottom.
Even when rigged with heavier sinkers—1/4 oz or more—on Texas rigs or free rigs, the bait retains soft, natural movement instead of becoming stiff. For pressured fish, the original bibibi Bug excels. When you need stronger attraction and presence, Power bibibi Bug becomes the better choice.
5. Recommended Hook & Size
For optimal performance, we recommend using the Owner Multi Offset Hook, designed under Murakami’s supervision, to maximize hook-up ratio and maintain the bait’s natural action.
