The secret behind Bounty Fish's ability to effectively 'walk-the-dog' over short distances, despite being a soft bait, and generate a strong water push can be attributed to two distinctive shape features.

(a) Rather than traditional links, the Bounty Fish’s joint sections are linked by webbing.

By fusing netting into the soft plastic material, this union allows for a finer and shorter-distance walk-the-dog action. By enhancing the tail's flexibility, the resulting action results in an enticing sway, even during dead sticking.

(b) Body with alternating large and small ribs

The backward facing ribs of the Bounty Fish interact with the water to effectively act as brakes. This minimizes forward movement distance during walk-the-dog action, allowing more time to work Bass from pinpoint spots like fallen trees and aquatic plant pockets.

As mentioned earlier, Bounty Fish is a soft-jointed bait that allows you to target fish hiding in cover like vegetation or obstacles. While it excels at maneuvering through cover, it's somewhat less effective at drawing fish at a distance compared to hard-jointed baits. If you're planning on walking the dog around the outside of cover, hard-jointed baits like Jackall's Blast Bone series, Deps' Silent Killer series, and DRT's Tiny Clash are recommended. Start by observing how fish respond to the Bounty Fish. If you find that bites are happening more outside of the cover rather than deep within it, switching to these hard-jointed baits could help you catch bass more efficiently.
