Built to trigger reaction strikes in the tightest cover—places swimbaits can’t touch
1. A hard-bait-level vibration deep in cover triggers reaction strikes

Ken Akamatsu’s goal was simple:
“I want to generate the powerful vibration of a lipless-crankbait deep inside cover—where traditional lipless-crankbait constantly snag.”
That idea is exactly what shaped the unique design of the AK Punch.

Its bulky, high-mass tail kicks with an aggressive up-and-down vibration, producing a hard-bait-class pulse in the water. Since it’s designed to be fished on an offset hook, you can send it deep into wood cover or thick weeds and make it thump hard in places where other baits simply can’t.
2. The thick tail starts working instantly—so bass don’t get a chance to inspect it
One of the AK Punch’s biggest strengths is how fast it “comes alive.”
Most weedless swimbaits need a certain amount of forward movement before they start kicking. The AK Punch doesn’t.
The thick tail begins generating a high-pitch vibration immediately after splashdown, keeping bass from studying the bait and helping you get bites before they can turn away.
3. Nail-weighted rig: hard vibration on the lift + a random backward sliding action that imitates a fleeing craw

The rig that brings out the AK Punch’s full potential is a nail-weighted rig.
Insert a nail weight into the designated spot in the tail, and you’ll get a violent tail-thumping vibration on the lift. On the fall, the tail’s mass pulls the bait into a backslide, creating unpredictable landing points.
It perfectly mimics the sudden burst of a panicked crawfish and the way it darts deeper into cover to escape.
[Recommended Nail Weight]
2.4”: 0.9 g (1/32 oz) – 1.8 g (1/16 oz)
2.8”: 0.9 g (1/32 oz) – 1.8 g (1/16 oz)
3.3”: 0.9 g (1/32 oz) – 1.8 g (1/16 oz)
4. When you want bites on the fall only, pair it with a Ne-Uwo Dama

The Ne-Uwo-Dama setup is extremely effective when you need to punch into thick trash mats or reach the deepest part of heavy, tangled cover—places a nail-weighted-rig can’t penetrate.
While the nail-weighted-rig excels at a horizontal sliding fall, the Ne-Uwo-Dama setup drops straight down vertically as the sinker pulls the bait down fast.
That lets you commit at the cover edge without hesitation, send it straight to the bottom, and trigger an immediate bite with its intense vibration on the fall—perfect for a fast-tempo “one-drop, one-bite” approach.
To keep the tail moving properly, 5 g (3/16 oz) or heavier is recommended.
5. Three sizes to match the conditions and catch more bass
As of 2026, the AK Punch is available in three sizes, so you can adjust your profile and fall speed to match the situation and increase your catch rate.
6. Recommended hooks & sizes
For offset hooks, we recommend the Multi Offset—the same hook used throughout development.
