A bottom-friendly swimbait specializing in bottom swimming and reaction strikes

The Bacurato Swimmer is tournament proven to deliver big Bass when they stay near the bottom, such as during the cold season. The lure's standard weight is 1.3oz (38g), so that it can be fished as deep as heavy weighted spinnerbaits without the bulk. The body and jig head are designed not only for slow rolls in deep water, but for triggering reaction bites when hitting rocks as well. Its Texas rig-weedless design also enhances bump and roll tactics.The bottom of the Bacurato Swimmer body is flat, and the lure is weighted so that it ‘sits up’ when resting at the bottom. This simulates a baitfish that pecks at the bottom without falling over. This unique stance allows not only for effective ‘lift & fall’ or ‘bottom pumping’ usage, but gives the Bacurato Swimmer a natural action when bouncing off cover.

Retrieve it with strong action like a spinnerbait and present it with a realistic appearance.

With its shad inspired big tail, the swimming action of the Bacurato Swimmer is as aggressive as a spinnerbait, so that the "winding feeling" is not impaired even in slow rolls in deep water. The back of the body is designed flat for improved horizontal posture during swimming so that lure presents naturally after attracting the Bass with its strong action. In addition, the Bacurato lineup includes Imakatsu’s "Real Color Series" that uses colorings with a special luster. By reflecting the sun's light, the lure produces a flashing effect which is comparable to a spinner bait, thereby enticing the Bass into a reaction strike.

When to use it - Proper use with other Imakatsu swimbaits -

In addition to the Bacurato Swimmer, Imakatsu's swimbait lineup includes the versatile Stealth Swimmer and the Lazy Swimmer (that supports super dead slow retrieve). Basically, it is recommended to use the Stealth Swimmer and Lazy Swimmer for the surface and middle layers, leaving the Bacurato Swimmer for deep water such as during the cold season. The Stealth Swimmer can swim the deep range by installing separately offered weight packages (such as "Full Tungsten Magnum Heavy 3/4oz" or "Extra Heavy 1/2oz), but with substantially less tail action. If you are aiming for a reaction bite by contacting hard cover such as hard bottoms and submerged trees, the Bacurato Swimmer will give you better results.
