Superior ONETEN around Obstacle and Powerful Casting Distance Performance
Swimming Action
1. Equipped with the award winning LBO II (Linear Bearing Oscillator) system
OneTen LBO is the successor to the OneTen X LBO, winner of the prestigious IF Design award in 2018, which marked the beginning of the accolades for the LBO system. World renowned for its uniquely developed center of gravity system ‘LBO II’ (Pat.), the OneTen LBO series continues to set the mark in weight transfer.
The LBO II system consists of a sliding sealed rod inside a small tube within the lure (see fig.1). From there, 3 ‘tracks’ of 17 micro ball bearings each circulate inside the rod, like cars on a race track (see fig.2). It is a unique center-of-gravity system with a total of 51 microballs built-in. The LBO II eliminates frictional resistance when the weight moves by the microballs circulating around the loop. It is a specification that the weight moves instantaneously.
2. The speed of posture gain that almost commands quick reaction strikes
Don't blink and watch the video to see the moment when it swims in an instant!
In Bass fishing, the speed at which a lure gains posture is important. In particular, Bass lurking in structures are conscious of the surface of the water, so they will immediately notice the presence of a lure, and if it stays there, it will be easier for them to strike at. The OneTen LBO starts its action as soon as the line is tensioned and you put your hand on the reel handle after hitting the water, compelling Bass to instant action. The LBO II achieves this rapid start-up because the internal rod instantly returns to the front just by tilting about 3 degrees. It is then held to the front by the neodymium magnet at the front of the tube. Its rising speed is much faster than the original OneTen and OneTen R, and is comparable to a fixed weight lure.
3. 20% longer flight distance than the original
When cast, the force pulls the rod from the magnet, and the weight slams to the tail, creating a powerful casting thrust. The body length of the original OneTen was 110mm (4.3”), but the OneTen LBO has a longer tail and is 115mm (4.5”) long, which moves the center of gravity even further backwards, improving flight performance. In addition, you can fly to the target with light force, making it easy to cast accurately even around complicated obstacles.
4. Dynamic roll action that can appeal at a distance
After landing, the weight becomes fixed to the front of the tube by a neodymium magnet, so the OneTen LBO can be worked with stable action. A round weight concentrates the center of gravity on one point, causing the hips to swing left and right, while the OneTen LBOs long and narrow weight is fixed to the lower part of the body, and by using this as an axis, a tight and extremely high-pitch roll action is produced. The dynamic roll action gives a blinking effect that can be seen from a distance, bringing fishing results to different ranges of Bass.
5. You can also choose ONETEN's largest 135mm (5.3”) magnum size
The OneTen MAX LBO, which has a size up to 135mm, is also on sale for OneTen LBO. Its magnum size for a jerkbait, with the LBO II system, makes it possible to have sharp action like the original OneTen without lagging. The movement of the weight is instantaneous, so the posture gain after landing is obviously fast.
The slender weight of the LBO II made it possible to achieve a slim body despite its magnum size and flat sides. Shaped like a baitfish, even nervous Bass will bite without hesitation.
OneTen MAX LBO is the largest of the OneTen series currently available. It is very effective when you want to ‘match the bait’ against Bass hunting for big baits, such as perch or sweetfish. When you want to induce reaction strikes with a strong and intense appeal, or when you need high appeal in turbid water, the OneTen MAX LBO is the jerkbait for big bass.
6. ONETEN, ONETEN LBO and ONETEN R… How to choose?
OneTen LBO is equipped with a new moving center of gravity system, but how do you determine its use? Use the OneTen LBO when…
Approaching Bass that are near the surface, attached to structure, or conscious of the surface of the water.Use OneTen LBO in a pattern where you aim for shallow Bass lurking by the shorelines in a muddy shallow lake or reservoir. Bass in such places are holding to some type of cover and look closely at the surface of the water, so they notice the presence of the lure as soon as it hits the water. If you are slow when landing on the water, it will be cut off as a lure, so you want to start the action as soon as possible after landing. The original OneTen and OneTen R need time to adjust their posture from landing to action, and they may be cut off during that time. The OneTen LBO gains posture from the moment it hits the water, so it can be retrieved immediately after landing. Topwater lures are often eaten immediately after landing, so even with a jerkbait, the process from landing to swimming is important.
When the action is too strong with the original but not enough with the R Bass are fickle creatures, and getting ‘dialed in’ sometimes means fractional differences between a limit and being skunked. As Megabass pro staffer Katsuu says, "If you want to have a stronger action than R, you should choose LBO." The original OneTen has a tricky and dynamic dart action, while the OneTen R has a natural and tight action. The OneTen LBO, however, has a roll action that tilts the body left and right to create a flickering effect over a wide area, but with an action not as strong as the original. And unlike the original, the OneTen LBO is silent running. You can do actions with confidence between the original OneTen and OneTen R.
When you want long flight distance in a big lake such as Lake Biwa or in a strong headwind. The OneTen LBO flies 20% farther than the original OneTen. When using OneTen in a headwind, anglers will sacrifice distance over the OneTen LBO. If you want longer casts, it is also recommended to use OneTen R. Using the original OneTen, OneTen LBO and OneTen R properly while considering the strength of the action and the flight distance needed will help ensure a good catch.
