Compact Prop Bait with Vertical Head-Banging Action, Sound, and Flash

1. Pull Bass Up with Powerful Water Displacement from a Vertical Body Action

The biggest difference with the MJ PROP is that it does more than simply churn the surface with its prop. The body itself moves vertically and pushes water.

The rotation of the single-wing prop creates a vertical body movement that is further amplified by its highly buoyant, rounded ‘manju’ body — a plump, bun-shaped profile designed to push more water with each up-and-down movement. On the retrieve, the body repeatedly pounds the surface while the prop throws spray, creating a strong pulse and water displacement that feels very different from a conventional prop bait.

Instead of relying mainly on the rotating hardware for attraction, the MJ PROP uses the prop as the driving force for the entire lure.

That combination of vibration and heavy surface displacement helps bass detect the lure from below and can pull fish all the way up to the surface.

2. Cover Water Efficiently Without an Oversized Profile

At 4.1" (105mm) and 0.8oz (23g), the MJ PROP has enough weight to cast well and efficiently search long stretches of shoreline, riprap, shallow flats, and open water.

At the same time, its actual body profile remains relatively compact for a topwater bait with this much drawing power.

3. Make Bass Notice It with Sound, Flash, and Vibration

The MJ PROP does not rely on water displacement alone.

As the single-wing prop rotates, it contacts the belly blade and creates a distinctive metallic knocking sound. At the same time, the blade produces flash, adding a visual trigger to the vibration and surface disturbance.

Because the blade is mounted to the body through a thin wire, the impact between the prop and blade also transfers additional vibration back into the lure.

Prop splash, full-body water displacement, metallic sound, and blade flash all work together, helping bass locate the bait while you cover water.

4. Remove the Belly Blade to Tone Down the Attraction

More attraction is not always better.

In clear water, smaller areas, or around heavily pressured bass that have already seen plenty of aggressive topwater presentations, the MJ PROP can also be fished with the belly blade removed.

Taking the blade off reduces the metallic knocking sound and flash, while keeping the core MJ PROP action — the prop-driven vertical body movement and strong water displacement.

Start with the blade installed when you want maximum attraction. If fish are showing themselves but not committing, or the bait simply feels too aggressive for the conditions, remove the blade and tone the presentation down one level.

That adjustability allows the same lure to cover a wider range of water clarity, fishing pressure, and fish activity.

5. Need More Straight-Line Stability and Even More Noise? Try the deps EVOKE ZERO
