The original MAGDRAFT is a highly refined swimbait, but because it is built around a harness and treble hook setup, its applications become more limited when you want to fish rock or heavy cover. That is where the MAGDRAFT FREESTYLE came in. However, with a standard weighted hook or generic jig head, the line tie tends to sit farther forward, and once you speed up the retrieve, there are times when it becomes harder to get the same strong head shake and stable swimming posture as the original MAGDRAFT.

To close that gap, the MAGDRAFT HEAD uses a top-mounted line tie similar to the original MAGDRAFT. This helps the FREESTYLE maintain a more level posture in the water, keep its stronger drawing power, resist blowing out or rising too easily, and stay in the target zone more effectively.

2. Its flared bottom shape helps it come through cover better and recover its posture faster

One of the biggest strengths of the MAGDRAFT FREESTYLE is that it lets you fish cover and rock that were harder to target with the original MAGDRAFT. But if you really want to fish it hard in those areas, simply changing hooks is not enough. The MAGDRAFT HEAD uses a purpose-built shape that trims volume around the line tie while extending the lower section of the head, creating exceptional stability in the water along with excellent cover deflection.
