Born from BAUM’s creative concept and the rod-building expertise of the renowned brand DESiGNO, BOFU incorporates DESiGNO’s unique rod-taper philosophy into the body design itself.

Just as a rod’s taper changes from tip to belly to butt, BOFU’s legs are designed with a flat, gradually thinning profile that gets slimmer and more flexible toward the tips.

This subtle taper gives each leg a spring-like motion — allowing it to pulse, twist, and quiver naturally with even the slightest current.

The result is a soft-plastic that looks alive even when left untouched, perfectly imitating a real insect struggling on the surface.

2. Grabs water firmly and keeps appealing in one spot

While the leg tips are designed to move on their own, the leg bases are built to grab water firmly — reacting only to deliberate rod actions for a “no-over-shake” design.

The thicker base, flattened shape in the direction of travel, and connecting fins between the legs create a strong spring-back action, letting the legs return powerfully to their original position.

Because it catches so much water resistance, BOFU barely moves from the strike zone with each rod twitch, allowing persistent appeal to stubborn bass.
