For swimming sideways
The FLASH-J SPLIT 5”/7” is also suited for a rig known as "yokoyoko(meaning: swimming sideways)" in Japan. By inserting a lightweight nail weight into the head of the soft-plastic and rigging a drop-shot hook on the back, the lure can be made to swim sideways. This technique is excellent for targeting areas close to the shore or under overhangs. Fish that may not respond to vertical movements can often be enticed to bite by swimming sideways.
For Mid-Strolling
When used for a Mid-strolling technique, the large body emits strong vibrations, and the rolling action combined with the aluminum foil’s flashing effect creates an assertive appeal. Using larger lure sizes, such as 5 inches, is referred to as “Power-Mid-Strolling”.

Soft-jerking involves rigging a soft-plastic with an offset hook and employing a jerking motion. In the US, lures like the ZBC Super Fluke are commonly used in spring patterns, but in Japan, jerkbaits have predominantly been hard baits, with soft jerk baits not being as popular. The FLASH-J SPLIT 5”/7” is designed to cater to soft-jerking, featuring a material that's soft enough to produce a sharp darting action, while the salt content is adjusted to prevent excessive displacement.
2. Attracting with Intense Aluminum Foil Flashing
One of the defining features of the FLASH-J SPLIT series is the inclusion of aluminum foil within the body, which attracts bass with its intense flashing. As it flutters down, the internal aluminum foil creates a flickering effect that appeals to bass from a distance. The aluminum foil also acts like a spine, preventing unnecessary movements and facilitating sharp, precise action.
