1. Innovation brought to a hard minnow

Here we have quite the innovative hard bait. Instead of a floating lure that dives down, the Riser Bait 007r sinks, and is brought jumping out of the water on retrieve thanks to the ingenious riser lip, a thin metal plate positioned horizontally that allows it to rapidly rise to the water's surface (see Fig.1).

By reversing the lip, it gives the Riser Bait 007r unique action and enables it to ‘leap’ into the air, mimicking the movements of a fleeing fish and creating an enticing action that triggers the predator instinct in Bass. This motion resembles the frantic jumps of small fish during a bait boil, making it an effective action to activate the predatory switch in target fish.

2. Compact Size with Impressive Casting Distance

Despite its compact 70mm body size, this lure weighs 8.2g, resulting in remarkable casting distance. It easily reaches distant boils that would be out of range with other lures. Additionally, the ability to approach from a distance reduces the chances of alerting the fish to your presence compared to regular lures, providing more opportunities for strikes.

3. Boost your catch rate by integrating with finesse bait.

Riserbait really comes into their own during early summer and fall, when bass are eagerly chasing after lively bait. Especially when we hit the start of fall, and the small fish disperse throughout the waters - that's prime time. Riserbait can act as a potent lure, even managing to trigger a bass boil. However, there are times in the onset of fall when the bass, still recovering from the summer heat, can't quite keep up. They might be enticed by the fast-moving Riserbait but fall short of actually going for the bite. In these situations, it's worth your while to first provoke the bass by casting out the Riserbait a few times, and then switching to a finesse lure such as “Flick Shake” and PIKU PIKUto get them to bite. It's a proven and effective method, as shown in the video by Takuma Hata, a pro-staffer at Jackall.
