AR stands for 'Angler's Request.' The YAMMY AR Custom is a lure born from the request of Kyoya Fujita, part of the Jackall pro staff. A devoted YAMMY enthusiast, Fujita not only brought the discontinued YAMMY back into the spotlight but also envisioned its use in shallower waters. The original YAMMY would reach the bottom too quickly for such situations. The YAMMY AR Custom is designed for this purpose, maintaining the original's enticing shimmy fall while altering the salt content to achieve a slower descent. This modification allows for a prolonged lure presentation to bass, creating more opportunities for strikes.

2. Altered Salt Content for Different Action and Improved durability compared to the Original

The reduced salt content not only alters the action when moved but also adds firmness to the material, producing a more brisk and lively action than the original model. Furthermore, the decrease in salt content enhances hook retention, reducing the risk of tearing even with full casts. The recommended rigs are the same as the original: the wacky rig and the drop shot wacky rig, both ideal for enticing bass with a slower fall. The AR Custom also accommodates more strenuous uses such as the ‘Cover-Neko-rig’, which was challenging in terms of durability with the original.
