Swimming Action

1. Original Boot Tail Design for Action Variation with Reeling Speed

The Imakatsu original boot tail, common to the Gillroid series, comes pre-installed on both the Gillroid Baby and the Gillroid Minnie. While this boot tail may look similar to the commonly seen huddle tail designs at first glance, it differs from other tails on the market by featuring thinner sections.

This thinner section expands and contracts due to water resistance, significantly altering the lure's action.

During slow retrieves, the tail barely stretches, instead gently swaying like other huddle tail designs.

However, during fast retrieves, the tail stretches significantly, changing into a vigorous swaying action as if it's slapping and fleeing. This unique action variation triggers bites from bass.

2. Detachable lip that can be used properly for any situation or lake

By attaching or detaching the removable lip, anglers can convert the GillroidBaby & GillroidMinnie from a normal lipped swimbait to a glide-bait. (*GillroidBaby comes with ONLY normal lip located right in the photo. GillRoidMinnie comes with 2 types of lip. )

With the lip attached, it's possible to work the cover tightly, as well as lower the dive range. When the weather is rough due to rain and wind, or the water is muddy, the lip may be the best bet.

Use the GillroidBaby & GillroidMinnie lipless when the water is calm and clear, or when quickly attacking a wide area, between the surface to a depth of about 50 cm (2 ft.).

Attach a Quick Changer Weight to the jaw to lure bass holding to the bottom. The GillroidBaby & GillroidMinnie is flexible enough to be used properly in various situations and water.

3. Outstanding fish-collecting power with a small body and a large tail

By preventing the large tail from lowering the water flow wave that seems disproportionate to its small body, the GillroidBaby & GillroidMinnie achieves water displacement that other lures of the same size cannot imagine. It demonstrates fish attraction comparable to the original Gilroid and Gilroid Jr of the same series.
