After the release of the Vision OneTen, famed designer Yuki Ito created the Vision95 as a more subtle jerkbait that can be used in Japanese lakes where it’s difficult to catch finicky Bass. Though it’s been more than 20 years since its release, the Vision95 is still very popular.

To entice Japan’s heavily pressured, finicky Bass into biting, the Vision95 was first downsized to 95mm, then fitted with Megabass’ patented SHAFT BALANCER SYSTEM. While the Oneten uses a moving center of gravity system, the VISION95 has a fixed low center of gravity. This allows for superb rolling action and enhanced buoyancy. The Vision95’s carefully crafted balance also enhances flight distance. Yet while designed for the fickle lakes of Japan, the Vision95’s features excel everywhere Bass can be found.

2. Three reasons to use under high pressure

Innovative roll action that stays consistent, even when rolled slowly

Because of a balancer on the roll shaft, a roll action that agitates water like an upside-down bell is possible. The Vision95 was designed for slow retrieve rather than fast winding. It gives a consistent roll even when retrieved dead slow. Since it can be rolled slowly and delicately, it’s easier to present to Bass without spooking them with a lure that buzzes by.

Fluttering action that continues when stopped

Vision95's signature action is that it continues to move as if it were alive even when not being retrieved. This is due to the front weight acting like a pendulum, keeping motion going. When being retrieved, it rolls its body around the weight, but when it comes to rest, it shimmies its body to restore its posture. This makes the Vision95 double deadly for Bass when employing a ‘STOP & GO’ retrieve.

It doesn't make noise, just like baitfish…

Since the Vision95 is a jerk bait derived from OneTen, it obviously provides excellent jerk action. But, without any rattles or moving internal parts, the Vision95 allows the angler to ‘sneak up’ on skittish Bass, and lets them jerk without creating the sound or shock wave caused by movable weight lures. And then just let the famous Megabass flash do the rest. Use the Vision95 with confidence in those tough, pressured lakes to limit out.
