Designed by Morizo Shimizu (a former B.A.S.S. elite who also designed the Jack Hammer chatterbait with Brett Height), the Wildhunch series has a realistic appearance and weak action that mainly rolls side to side. It’s further characterized by swimming straight, even in a horizontal posture just like a baitfish. Their realistic presentation surpasses other cranks and are strong even in the toughest conditions. The Wildhunch series’s realism even allows anglers to induce reaction strikes by using a simple retrieve. Although the number of good fishing spots in Japan is limited, there are a lot of anglers, so it’s good to have the Wildhunch series that you depend on to catch Bass even in lakes with high pressure.

2. Shallow-dedicated crank that inherits the pedigree of the Wild Hunch

The SR is the shallow dedicated diving crank (0.5m-1.0m/19”-35”) of the Wild Hunch series. While inheriting the realistic action that allows it to swim straight while maintaining a horizontal posture (a feature of the Wild Hunch series), the lip is quite different. Designed exclusively for the SR, the lip is smaller and nearly round, but still maintains obstacle avoidance performance.
The Wild Hunch SR is excellent when other crankbaits are too strong to get a strike, or when the water quality clears, or when fishing pressure is high. Because of its weak, natural action, you can feel the high triggering power in the strike.
