Thanks to its high-density material, the Sakamata Shad significantly outperforms other soft jerkbaits in terms of castability. For instance, while a 6-inch soft jerkbait from other brands weighs about 1/4 oz, the 6-inch Sakamata Shad weighs more than 1/2 oz, making it over twice as heavy. Despite its weight, the keel creates water resistance, resulting in a slower fall speed. This allows bass, triggered by the lure's multidirectional darting with a sinuous body movement, to catch up to the lure effectively.
