While the Original Ito Shiner dives to 1.8-2m (6’), the Ito Shiner SSR attacks the super shallow range of 50-70cm (20-30”). The SSR inherits the features of the Ito Shiner, namely the strong flushing and water pushing actions that make use of the wide side of the body.

The Ito Shiner SSR excels when the bass cling to the weedbeds below the surface. By swimming the lure just above the weedbed, and using the exaggerated side to side wobble and intense flash, reaction strikes are induced.
Even when twitching and darting, the Ito Shiner SSR moves laterally but does not dive, so it can be worked directly under the water surface without plunging into the weeds below.
