Mid-strolling is a technique where a soft-plastic bait is rigged on a jig head to swim through the mid-water layer. However, while soft-plastics are highly effective at enticing bites, they sometimes lack in their ability to attract attention due to their inherent properties.

To address this issue, Imakatsu has developed the "iRoller," a hard lure that can alert bass at a greater distance, even when mid-strolling.

The iRoller is a lure designed not to shake its head from side to side but to roll its body like a soft-plastic during mid-strolling. The key feature is the blade at the tail. By simply casting and retrieving at a dead-slow to medium pace, the blade directly connected to the eye deflects water, producing high-pitch rolls and flashing reminiscent of soft-plastic mid-strolling.

Moreover, at medium retrieve speeds, the tail blade makes contact with the body side, creating a distinct clicking cracker sound. This feature is particularly effective in murky water and low light conditions, making it easier for bass to notice the lure.

3. Attract with Mid-Strolling Action, Hook with Shimmy Fall and Dart Movements

The iRoller distinguishes itself from the typical soft-plastic mid-strolling by not just relying on rolling actions to entice.
