π’ For U.S. Customers: All Duties Now Included in Our Prices
π« No More Surprise Charges β Anywhere in the U.S.
From August 2025, every product shipped to the United States now includes all U.S. import duties in its listed price β whether itβs made in Japan, China, or anywhere else.
That means for U.S. customers:
- π³ No extra fees at checkout
- π¦ No payments at delivery
- β No unexpected bills afterwards
π All duties we collect are remitted to the U.S. government through carriers like FedEx β under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms, so everything is fully taken care of before your order arrives.
π’ Why This Change Matters for U.S. Customers
Effective Aug 29, 2025 (ET), the U.S. government ended the de minimis rule for ALL imports.
On May 2, 2025 (ET), the de minimis rule was already ended for certain imports.
Before: Orders under $800 were duty-free.
Now: All overseas orders shipped to the U.S. are subject to import duties β no matter the value or origin.
π‘ Our Solution for the U.S. Market
- Switched to a duty-inclusive pricing model for all orders to the U.S.
- Clearly show the total product cost upfront β nothing hidden for U.S. buyers
π What This Means if Youβre in the U.S.
- Price shown = Final product price (duties included)
- Shipping fee is the only extra at checkout
- Transparent pricing β no surprises for U.S. customers
π΅ Example for a U.S. Order
Buying a product listed at $100 to be shipped to the U.S. now covers:
- Applicable U.S. import duty for that productβs category/origin
- The $13 FedEx customs handling fee is covered by us
You pay only the shipping fee at checkout β nothing more when it arrives in the U.S.
π Why This Benefits U.S. Shoppers
Some sellers leave duties for the U.S. customer to pay later, leading to:
- Surprise bills
- Customs issues β especially when brokers or U.S. Customs make errors in duty rates or calculations due to frequent, fluid policy changes. When this happens, we handle all communication with FedEx/DHL on your behalf and take full responsibility for securing the correct payment or refund, so you never have to chase it yourself.
We believe in clear, upfront totals so U.S. customers can shop with confidence.
β οΈ Note on Other Sellers
Weβve noticed that many other Japanese tackle shops have very limited English proficiency. When reading their blogs or social media posts in English, we often see outdated or inaccurate guidance about U.S. import duties. Some even declare all items as βMade in Japan,β regardless of the actual place of manufacture.
U.S. Customs takes origin declarations and duty calculations seriously β if these are incorrect, shipments may be flagged for inspection. This can result in clearance delays, additional duties or penalties charged to the importer (the U.S. buyer), and in more serious cases, goods being held or even seized.
With our accurate declarations, correct duty rates, and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping, everything is handled properly before your order leaves Japan.
π£ Final Word
For our customers in the United States: The price you see is the price you pay β period.
No hidden charges, no delivery-day surprises β just smooth sailing from checkout to your doorstep.
Tight lines,
